It has been a decent start to West Brom’s season. Tony Pulis’ side have managed to get four points from three Premier League games this season. The Baggies opened their Premier League campaign in a fine manner with a 0-1 win against Crystal Palace away from home but were brought back to earth by Everton who saw the Baggies off 1-2 at the Hawthorns. Newly promoted Middlesbrough also grabbed one point thanks to a goalless draw at the Hawthorns on the 28th of August.
The Baggies improvised their squad with the signings of Nacer Chadli, Hal Robson-Kanu and Allan Nyom on the transfer deadline day eventually shattering the club transfer record for Chadli. The fans probably would have liked more additions but Pulis has done enough to put an end to the fans’ frustrations. Bournemouth are still without a win this season in the Premier League and will be giving everything in their locker for all three points.
West Brom and Bournemouth are polar opposites in terms of style of play. While the Cherries play a front-footed attacking minded game, Pulis is a stern believer of a rather defensive game. Here is the predicted West Brom lineup against Bournemouth.
Defence
Ben Foster will start under the bar for the Baggies. Craig Dawson is likely to start ahead of Allan Nyom in the right-back position. Gareth McAuley and Jonny Evans will start at the heart of the defence while Everton loanee Brendan Galloway will start in the left-back position.
Midfield
Claudio Yacob is a key player for West Brom with his brilliant defensive abilities and is likely to start in defensive midfield. West Brom skipper Darren Fletcher and Craig Gardner will start as the two box to box midfielders. The midfield trio will try to control the game and dominate the Cherries in midfield.
Attack
Hal Robson-Kanu is in line for his West Brom debut from the left flank. Nacer Chadli, West Brom’s club record signing will start on the right. Jose Salomon Rondon will be looking for his second goal of the season as he spearheads West Brom’s attack against Eddie Howe’s side. With Chadli and Robson-Kane on board, we can expect a much better attacking display from the Baggies.
