Hull City take on Chelsea at the KC Stadium on Saturday in the seventh game week of the Premier League. The Tigers started their Premier League comeback in a strong manner but are in a poor form right now. Mike Phelan’s boys were demolished 5-1 by Liverpool last weekend and will be keen to bounce back when they take on another struggling team in Chelsea on Saturday. Chelsea have suffered two back to back Premier League losses against Liverpool and Arsenal and this could be the game for them to bounce back to winning ways.
Hull City are without a win in their last four Premier League games having managed a solitary draw in their last four. They have conceded a total of nine goals in the last two Premier League games against Arsenal and Liverpool. They are sitting four points above the danger zone right now but look like real relegation contenders. We have to wait and see how the Tigers fare against Conte’s boys.
Here is the predicted Hull City lineup against Chelsea.
Defence
David Marshall should keep his place under the bar. If not for the Scot, Hull City could have lost more heavily against Liverpool last week. Therefore, we expect Marshall to keep Jakupovic on the bench.
With Ahmed Elmohamady serving a red card suspension and Moses Odubajo out with injury, we expect David Meyler to start in the right-back position. Jake Livermore and Curtis Davies will remain the centre-back pair. Andrew Robertson should keep his place in the left-back position.
Midfield
Tom Huddlestone’s place in the starting XI is untouchable. The former Spurs midfielder will start as the defensive midfielder protecting the back four. Club record signing Ryan Mason should keep his place in the middle of the park. Markus Henriksen impressed coming off the bench against Liverpool last week and we expect the Norwegian to get a start in the middle of the park.
Attack
Robert Snodgrass has been in impressive form this season and his position in the starting lineup looks certain. The Scottish international will start on the right flank. We expect Adam Diomande to start from the bench with Sam Clucas getting a start on the left flank. Uruguayan international Abel Hernandez will start up front. The 26-year-old impressed in the first two Premier League games but has failed to do well lately.
