Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in James Rodriguez and promised the Columbian a major role in his team.
United had earlier tried to sign him but it didn’t materialise and Real Madrid signed him for a massive fee. James had a brilliant 2014 World Cup but failed to replicate his form with the La Liga giants. He hasn’t started a single match this season.
Mourinho has signed some big names like Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimović but United have so far failed to impress.
They have been linked with Antoine Griezmann who recently parted ways with his agent. Mourinho is reportedly scouting the Frenchman’s progress for the past few months. If United really want to sign James they have a stiff competitor in Chelsea who also want the striker. Madrid are in no hurry to sell the 24-year old as he has a contract till 2020.
Could this be the end of Wayne Rooney who has recently expressed his interest in ending his career at Manchester United? Only time will say.
