Liverpool target Lorenzo Insigne has made it clear that he wants to stay at Napoli according to recent reports. Liverpool seem to be interested in the Italian midfielder but the 25 year old has expressed his interest to stay at Naples.
Insigne’s future was hanging in balance when his agent failed to negotiate a contract extension but the attacker is now considering to pledge his future to the Italian club. “I am not thinking about it [a contract extension] but I want to stay in Naples.
“We will try to find the right solution for both myself and the team,” he said.
A very versatile player, Insigne loves to play on the right wing but he can also play as a secondary striker. Insigne has made 170 appearances for Napoli and has find the target 29 times. He was also a part of the Italy national team in the EURO 2016.
Insigne was involved in 22 goals last season and had 12 goals to his name as his team went toe to toe with Juve but couldn’t dethrone the Old Lady of Turin.
