Liverpool will face Chelsea in a crucial Friday night game that promises to be a very exciting encounter. Liverpool came off a 4-1 thrashing of defending Champions Leicester while Chelsea played out a 2-2 draw with Swansea.
Prior to the game, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has showed his admiration for Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. “He looks quite emotional, even when they don’t score,” Klopp said. Conte joined Chelsea after a mixed Euro 16 with Italy where they lost to Germany in Quarter-final.
The Italian is known for his emotional involvement in the game. He was seen thumping his chest or celebrating with the supporters, something that one would associate with Klopp as well.
The German went on to add, “Obviously he is involved in the game, but that’s not the most important thing”.
“The very important thing is he is a great manager, something like the Pep Guardiola of Juventus if you want.
Liverpool have scored 14 goals till now including the 4-1 thrashing of Leicester City. Chelsea had a dismal last season and finished 10th in the table but Klopp refused to take it for granted.
“They were champions two years ago and then had a difficult year and they changed their manager.
“Last season was not a Chelsea season and now they are back on track, so we need to be ready for a real challenge.”
He created their special type of play and had a very successful time there and with the national team, but Klopp opined that it’ll be the on-field battles that’ll matter the most come Friday night, “It is quite impressive what he has done until now, but I don’t play against Antonio Conte.
Meanwhile, Emre Can is set to miss the game vs Chelsea while Lovren is supposed to return to the squad after recovering from an injury sustained in the training.
