Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has confirmed that David Luiz will start against Liverpool. Luiz was signed by Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day for £32million.
Luiz rejoined Chelsea after spending two years with the French giants PSG. Conte has shown his full confidence on the Brazilian as David Luiz is set to replace John Terry who has strained the ligament of his ankle and will be out for almost 10 days. Luiz will be pairing Gary Cahill in the Central defence.
Luiz was the part of Chelsea’s 2011-12 Champions League-winning squad and has made 81 Premier League appearances for the Blues.
Conte said that he know David Luiz is a good player and he expects him to play well.
Luiz was not a part of the last match when Chelsea drew 2-2 with Swansea as he needed some time to adapt in the Premier League. Could this potentially change the game for either Chelsea or Liverpool?
