Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly considering a significant number of changes to the current squad. The Russian billionaire is prepared to bring in a few new signings if the current condition persists.
Under Conte’s guidance Chelsea made a great start to their Premier League campaign by winning their opening three games but since then have managed only one point in their last three games. They lost to Arsenal 3-0 in the last match.
Chelsea had earlier been linked with Leonardo Bonucci and Kalidou Koulibaly but failed to land the defenders. Conte now sets his eyes on Burnley’s Michael Keane and ready to offer £25m for the defender in the upcoming transfer window. He is also interested in bringing out of favour Tottenham left-back Ben Davies to strengthen his defence.
Chelsea are still without Kurt Zouma and captain John Tery who are nursing injuries. The Blues had signed David Luiz and Fernando Alonso to bolster their defence but with Conte preferring a 3-5-2 system, there could be more signings to fit into his system and it looks like Branislav Ivanovic, Cesc Fabregas, Nemanja Matic and Oscar could be shown the door.
