After their 3-0 defeat to Arsenal, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is set to rebuild his defence. The Blues manager is reportedly scouting Burnley’s Michael Keane and Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson and the duo could replace Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic in Chelsea defence.
Cahill made a shocking mistake in the match against Arsenal that led to Alexis Sanchez’s goal. With the absence of John Terry and Kurt Zouma, Chelsea have conceded 12 goals in just four games. The Italian signed David Luiz from PSG and Marcos Alonso from Fiorentina on the deadline day to bolster his defence. Chelsea had earlier also tried to sign Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli and Leonardo Bonucci of Juventus but failed to land the defenders.
Meanwhile West Ham are currently watching the situation of Cesc Fabregas. The Spanish midfielder has so for made his only start against Arsenal and had to be substituted. West Ham are currently lying at the relegation zone and are interested in securing the services of the former Arsenal player.
