Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia could be on his way out to Liverpool. The Italian defender has so far played only two matches for the Nerazzurri and Jurgen Klopp, a long-term admirer of the defender is mulling an option to bring him to Anfield.
The 28-year-old is not a part of current gaffer Frank de Boer’s plans and could be offloaded in January. The Italian has a contract till 2019.
Frank De Boer has preferred Jeison Murillo and Joao Miranda over Ranocchia. Liverpool made an enquiry in the last transfer window for the defender only to be rebuffed by the Italian team.
Inter defeated Empoli 2-0 with Mauro Icardi scoring a brace. Ranocchia spent the last half of the season on loan at Sampdoria.
AC Milan was reportedly interested in the 6 feet 5 defender and even approached their rivals but talks didn’t materialise. Liverpool will face stiff competition from Torino and Sampdoria who are reportedly interested in the defender as well.
