Arsene Wenger has hailed Thiery Henry, Tony Adams, and Dennis Bergkamp as the three best Arsenal players he has ever coached. Wenger recently completed his 20 years rein with the Gunners with a brilliant 3-0 win over their local rivals Chelsea.
During his 20 years stint at Arsenal, Wenger has won three Premier Leagues and Six FA Cups. Under his guidance, Arsenal won the famous 2003-04’Invincibles’ season. Under Tony Adam’s captaincy, Arsenal went on to win doubles (Premier and FA Cup) in 1997-98 and 2001-02.
Wenger said,”It’s impossible to compare Tony Adams and Thierry Henry, Henry and Bergkamp were certainly the most glamorous and creative players because usually, you rate more the quality going forward.”
Adams spent his entire professional career of 22 years at Arsenal and is only behind David O’Leary on the list of most appearances for the Gunners.
Henry is the highest ever goal-scorer for Arsenal with 228 goals in 337 games. Bergkamp was signed from Inter Milan in 1995 and was an integral part of Wenger’s ‘Invincibles’. He has played 385 games for the gunners and has scored 102 goals for them.
