Manchester United have been one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window. The new manager at the club, Jose Mourinho, has broken the bank to complete a world record transfer in Paul Pogba earlier this month but after just one game of the new Premier League season, the Red Devil fans will have understood who their most important player for the next season will be. Zlatan Ibrahimović, who made a move to United on a free transfer earlier this summer scored on his debut for the club in a practice game with a sumptuous volley and backed it up with a stunning long-ranger against AFC Bournemouth to steal all three points in United’s first game of the new season.
The Swedish international has taken no time to make an impact on the English Premier League and is now amongst one of the best players in the country. He has enough experience to adjust and understand the different conditions and style of play of the Premier League clubs while his eye for goal has already seen the fans at the club adore him. At 35-years of age, Zlatan Ibrahimović may not be the most promising player for United in years to come but he is surely the most exciting player in the English domestic league this season.
The former Barcelona man has won every major league in Europe and has proved himself in most of the top teams in Europe. He has the strength, ability, creativity and skill to excel under any circumstances and can be a game-changer for Mourinho’s side next season. Manchester United have not been able to maintain consistency in their results since the start of the post-Alex Ferguson era but Zlatan Ibrahimović and his flair will help United take the step they seemed to have slipped three years ago. He is not the youngest player around and will not be playing 40+ games for the Manchester United side this season but he is surely a player who can break the records in the English league.
His appetite for goal even at his age is commendable while his dedication to his team is laudable. He has a poacher’s instinct in front of goal as well, apart from his blitzkrieg shooting, that helps him find the back of the net consistently and if his previous seasons in France have taught us anything, it is that he will have no problem of scoring goals even in and around a new team. This has been helped by the fact that Jose Mourinho’s style of play will suit Zlatan.
The big Swede will be expected to lead the line for the Red Devils and will act as a target man for his team in attack. He has the attributes to be successful in such a game and can easily continue his goal-scoring form from the previous seasons.
Ibrahimović is easily one of the best strikers in Europe at the moment and having won the Golden Boot in France in the last few seasons, he is now perfectly set himself up to steal the prize even in England. The Premier League is supposed to be hard for newcomers but for Zlatan, it is just another league or so it seems with the start to his career here. Do you think Zlatan can win the golden boot in the Premier League this season?
