AC Milan are reportedly ready to splash £32 million to bring in Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera. The money-splashing Italian outfit brought in a number of star players this season but failed to establish themselves. They are suffering in the league and are ready to bring in new players with Herrera said to be a target.
The United man has been sparingly used by Jose Mourinho this season and the Spaniard might seek a move away to get more game time. With Herrera’s future up in the air, here are three options they can look at in order to replace him.
Jean Michael Seri
The Ivory Coast midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs in England and is highly rated in Europe. The Nice player has been a star at the French club and has played over a 100 games since his move back in 2015. He has the ability to maintain a high level of intensity throughout the match and is a nightmare to deal with for players who like to keep the ball as Seri likes to hassle and harass these players. This would make him a valuable addition to Mourinho’s team.
Arturo Vidal of Bayern Munich is nearing the end of his contract at the German club. The midfielder from Chile is a mainstay in the middle of the park for them and has a playing style that makes him an ideal modern day midfielder.
He is smart on the ball and has a peripheral range of distribution. However, what makes him a world class midfielder is the fact that he is equally excellent if not better when off the ball. He can cover every blade of grass on a weekly basis and has a knack for the outrageous shots from outside the box.
The 22-year old Serbian midfielder currently plays for Lazio. The central midfielder is an action-packed player and his added quality of having a keen eye for goal is what sets him apart from other youngsters. Savic is yet to unlock his box of full potential and it is no secret why the big clubs are chasing his signature. Since his move to Lazio in the summer of 2015, Savic has made over 100 appearances for the club scoring almost 20 goals and assisting another 17. He will no doubt be a player for the future and United could do with a player like him.
