The former English boss has been scouting for possible replacements to take the goal scoring pressure off of Wayne Rooney. With 11 goals to his name this season, Rooney is the leading man in the attacking lineup but might not have the legs to cope with the stress of top-flight English football.

The arrival of Tosun will finally allow the boss to field a set team in the starting XI regularly. The youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin has drawn great praise for his work ethic in the striker role but has yet to prove himself as a finisher. However, he might not be dropped completely to the bench with the arrival of the 26-year-old. He is a versatile attacker and can operate from the wide areas. Sandro Ramirez and Oumar Niasse have failed to mark their place and might make their exits from the Toffees after this season.
If Morata is worth £70m, Cenk Tosun is worth £200m

Cenk Tosun is a very good player and Everton are getting a good striker – should fit in well with Sam Allardyce.

Tosun has started the season in prolific form and has scored 14 goals in 24 appearances for the Turkish outfit.
He is widely regarded as the best Turkish striker since the days of Hakan Şükür, who helped his country to third place in the 2002 World Cup but then fell into disgrace over his links with U.S. based preacher Fethullah Gülen, blamed for the 2016 failed coup.
Although I’ve always enjoyed watching Premier League, I never had much sympathy for a particular team. However, from now on I am a proud @Everton fan, thanks to @CenkTosun_ . I’m looking forward to buying a blue Toffees jersey, with Cenk’s name and number on the back.

Besiktas club president, Fikret Orman was quoted, “Our interests and the players’ interests are important. Cenk wants to join Everton. We want to do our part and we are working on a replacement.”
“The era of buy, buy, buy is over. This is the era of buy, add value and sell. A final deal has not been reached yet but we have an agreement over the price. The end is near. The transfer will be wrapped up by the weekend.”
You can get an @Everton away jersey (w/ personalization) for $88 right now… Announce Cenk’s number so I can place my order lads! Tosun to wear to Merseyside Blue in FA CUP!! @ToffeeTVEFC @WereEvertonFC
