Diego Costa said that he would ‘get a five match ban’ if he really gave his opinion about the Premier League Referees. Costa was often involved in scuffles with others players.
Costa, however, has been a complete changed man this season. He is the main reason behind Chelsea’s phenomenal rise this season. The Blues had been on a 13 match winning streak but lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the last match that saw their lead at the top reduced to five points
Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola also have been very vocal recently about the performance of the referees. Costa has been cautioned only five times so far which is a huge improvement from last season. It’s his temperament that helps him to get it going as he missed only one match this season for suspension.
The 28 year old said, “I am not going to give my opinion on English referees because I would get a four or five-game ban if I did.”
